Shafer Alliance Laboratory Theater: Much Ado About Nothing Poster

The final poster design features photos of the actors from the production, with the main romantic leads dominating the frame at the top. The one that falls in love first glances slyly over at his future lover, alluding to the eventual happy ending of the show. Between them is a quote that sums up the show and creates greater intrigue. In the middle of the frame, set against a setting sun and western landscape silhouette is the secondary cast, highlighting the setting and other relationships of the show. The bottom third of the design is dominated by the title of the show, with all necessary information available upon closer inspection.
The final poster design takes design cues from both old western posters, to highlight the concept of the production, and rom-com movie posters, to highlight the plot of the play. They merge together in style and composition to create a final design that fully encompasses the show.
