Charette: VCU Interior Design Lobby
Spring 2023 | Educational Design
The VCU Department of Interior Design is a melting pot where all manner of people and ideas come together to create one community that designs, creates, and innovates together. Their lobby should reflect that principle. Visitors are welcomed by a collection of student work, both two dimensional and three dimensional, that shows the breadth and variety of work being done by department members. All design features melt out of a statement ceiling.

This project was a collaboration with a colleague. I was responsible for all the graphic deliverables of the project including renders, elevations, and drawings. I was also responsible for the three concept models delivered above while the concept development process was collaborative. It was my idea to have features melt out of a ceiling feature and it was her idea to have recessed display areas. I then came up with the final composition based on shapes she sketched.
